Connect an assistant

Point your assistant at the server address, sign in once, then start talking.

Before you start

  1. 1

    An account with credits

    The assistant acts as the account you sign in with. No separate plan is needed — see Plans.

  2. 2

    At least one connected channel

    Without one the assistant can read your balance but cannot create videos. Connect channels in the web app.

  3. 3

    An assistant that speaks MCP

    Claude Desktop, or any client that supports the protocol.

Open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and paste the server address from the box below.

Connect an assistant to this account

The address below matches the domain you are reading on — paste it straight into your assistant.

MCP server address

…/api/v1/public/mcp

Config for file-based clients

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "viai-video": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "…/api/v1/public/mcp"
    }
  }
}

The entry name "viai-video" is only for you to recognise; any name works. On first connection the assistant opens a browser for you to sign in and approve.

Claude opens a browser to sign in, then shows the consent page. Approve it and you are done — no key to paste anywhere.

Read the application name on the consent page

The page names the application requesting access. If that name does not match the software you just clicked in, do not approve — close the page and reconnect.

Other clients

The server is standard MCP over streamable HTTP with OAuth 2.1. Any client supporting both can connect — declare an http server entry (not stdio) pointing at the same address — the ready-made config block is above, one click to copy.

Key names and file layout differ per client — check its own docs. The only thing you need from us is the address above.

Verify the connection

Ask something read-only that costs nothing:

How many credits do I have left?

The assistant calls get_credit_balance and reports available and held. Two numbers back means the connection works.

Troubleshooting

Signed in but no consent page appearedThe browser blocked a pop-upAllow pop-ups and retry
Assistant sees no toolsConfigured as stdio instead of httpFix the config and restart the client

Revoking access

To cut an assistant off, remove the server entry in that client. Tokens issued to an assistant are time-limited and must be requested again once they expire.

If you suspect a token has leaked, report it

Removing the entry on your machine does not revoke a token someone else already holds. Contact support so the grant can be closed from our side.
